Biography
Karolina Idrisova has been dancing since childhood in the late 1980s in Indonesia. She had started with Indonesian folkloric dances, which she still continues to perform.
In 2000 Karolina came across oriental dance and was lucky enough to have “real“ oriental teachers that have helped her shape her skills in classical and folkloric oriental dances. Her first teachers were Beata and Horacio Cifuentes. Since then her style has been influenced by Madam Lubna Emam and Osama Emam /Kaomeya Troupe in Egypt.
Karolina teaches at Centrum Tance, the largest dance school in the Czech Republic and is now acknowledged as one of the country’s leading oriental dance instructors and choreographers. She teaches and performs regularly internationally, including festivals in Stockholm, Bali, Prague and Croatia.
In 2007 she had formed her own dance troupe – MATAHARI GROUP, which has won a number of awards in international festivals, including the Nile Group Festival in Cairo.
