Hazel has a sense of fun and loves to dance, which shows in her teaching. Her style has been influenced by Wendy Buonaventura and she toured nationally in Wendy’s Dance Company for a few years. Besides this she has performed internationally with traditional Arab musicians and toured extensively in Europe, dancing with Balkan, Irish and rock bands at concerts, festivals, weddings, cabarets and for middle-eastern parties. Many other theatre projects have been undertaken including Textiles in Performance, and more recently with the Stand & Stare Collective. She is the artistic director and choreographer of HAZIZ Dance Troupe.

Hazel has stayed and travelled with the Mozeina Bedouin tribe in the Sinai desert. Dancers and families have accompanied her to experience life with the Bedouin, to dance in the desert, ride on camels, and sleep under the stars. She is a professionally trained actress and has performed stage plays, nationally and in the West End, in films and been on TV and radio.
